Smart Waste Solutions Celebrates Sponsorship of Business Beats Cancer Chester Gala
Last week, Smart Waste Solutions was honoured to sponsor the Business Beats Cancer Chester Gala Dinner — an inspiring, emotional, and highly impactful evening in support of Cancer Research UK. As a company committed to giving back, this was a proud highlight of our 10-year journey.
The gala brought together local businesses, community leaders, and supporters, all united in raising essential funds for life-saving cancer research. Hearing the real stories behind the fundraising — the lives touched and the impact made — served as a powerful reminder of why continued support is so vital.
Celebrating the People Who Make a Difference
This year, we were proud to sponsor the nurses’ table from St Rocco’s Hospice, as a gesture of appreciation for the incredible work they do every day supporting patients and families. Their presence brought a special warmth to the evening and reminded everyone why events like this matter.
We were also delighted to welcome 1st Response Environmental as our guests for the evening. Their support and partnership added even more meaning to the night.

Our Ongoing Commitment to Cancer Research UK
Supporting the gala is part of a wider commitment we’ve made to Cancer Research UK throughout the year. Earlier in 2025, our team completed the Three Peaks Challenge, climbing in extreme 30°C heat to raise funds for the cause.
We also provide continuous support through our business operations:
a percentage of the money generated from our IT waste recycling programme is donated directly to Cancer Research UK, ensuring we contribute all year round—not just at headline events.
A Record-Breaking Night
This year’s gala was a huge success, raising almost £70,000 in total — a remarkable achievement that will have a real and lasting impact on cancer research.
